Patricia Chafe, PhD
Patricia
has a PhD in mathematics. Mathematics provides powerful tools
to help oranizations identify strengths and weaknesses and the optimal
directions to move to achieve strategic goals. With her
special interest in Operations Research and Education, Patricia's
vision is to bring the power of mathematical tools
to the clients of Jump Beyond in a manner that is easy to use and easy
to understand.

Patricia has a firm belief in empowering others and in ethical decision making, and she has displayed this in all the projects she has been involved in in the past. Shehas been the driving force for many projects over the years including:

- Facilitating the quadrennial strategic and operational plans of a major national sporting organization.
- Development and Implementation of a new judging system for the sport of figure skating in Canada.
- Re-design and implementation of training program for national officials of figure skating in Canada.
- Development of multi-criteria decision models for a major national sport organizaiton to improve efficiency and accountability in decisions.
Her past experience also includes the design and delivery of instructional and leadership workshops for a variety of audiences with a wide variety of applications. Her activities in this area are outlined in a Teaching Dossier, which is available on request.
Patricia also believes deeply in the power of research. Her academic background has provided her a good foundation in research, and her private and public sector work has developed the all important relationship between theoretical research and practical application and delivery. Outside of work, Patricia has a wide variety of interest - including, but not limited to, family & friends, dancing, swim-bike-run (aka, triathlon!), music, and anything that keeps us young and healthy!
